Jose L Martinez Ruiz

José L. Martínez Ruiz holds a MSc in Biotechnology and a PhD in Microbiology by the University of Córdoba, Spain. He joined as a postdoctoral researcher the Sysbio lab at Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden) working on yeast cell factory design and bioprocess optimization for the production of recombinant proteins. He is currently Associate Professor at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), and leads the Yeast Biotechnology and Fermentation group, besides acting as the Scientific Director of the DTU Fermentation core.
